Sally Lorbach

Sally's Biography

Sally Lorbach, Ph.D., developed Project House Calls, a wellness program that helps provide disadvantaged seniors with preventative and quality health care so that they can lead more independent, dignified lives. The program was first implemented at a South Carolina assisted-living facility where Lorbach was executive director. She then expanded Project House Calls to seven other facilities serving approximately 1,350 seniors in the Charleston, Greenville, and Spartanburg area.

In 2004, Lorbach founded the Center for Evolving Health Care, Inc. (CEHC) to focus on research and health-promotion and disease-prevention education programs and services. The innovative programs produce cost savings for the resident/patient, the retirement facility, area hospitals, community resources, Medicare, Medicaid, and the insurance industry. She currently serves as the director at CEHC and was recently a South Carolina delegate to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging.

Lorbach earned her Ph.D. in Health Services from Walden University in 2003. Her research focused on the recruitment, retention, and burnout of interdisciplinary hospice professionals and volunteers. This research helped Lorbach analyze issues surrounding health services with the context of community health, health administration, and human behavior with regard to the aging population.
